QUESTIONS FOR YOU:
What is the best way to clean metal mini blinds? I wiped them down, but they are still soooo dirty…
Any suggestions for a water spot remover for shower doors? One that actually works! 🙂
Thank you all for putting up with my cleaning posts… I hope I haven’t bored you to death! With all this done however, I am really looking forward to the next few days. Now, I just need a good nights sleep! Good night, God Bless!
Wow! You got a lot done! I didn’t even attempt it this year. I know I can’t spring clean my whole house in 3 days while pregnant. But I’ll start picking at it, now that it’s officially spring.
As a military mom, I have to clean our blinds every time we move out of military housing. I put an old towel in the tub (so it doesn’t scratch the surface), then fill with a few inches of water. For a cleaner, I use anything I have extra of such as Mr. Clean or something even cheaper. Lay your blinds down and this way you can scrub/wipe them, or just rinse them. Then I hang them up on the window and wipe with a cloth so that they don’t streak. This will get the windows dirty so I always wash the blinds before the windows. For my shower tile, I use Simple Green which smells terribly but I think it would clean ANYTHING!
I bow in your general direction.
I agree with Meg. I bow in your direction. I believe I’ve broken out in a lather JUST reading your list of accomplishments, let alone doing any of them. You are an inspiration. Gotta go. I see some cobwebs.
I tried to make the post with all the strikes last night and failed, lol. So I deleted it. I have to try again.
You got a lot done! I had the dame problem with the blinds! I tried them in my room and it was difficult so I gave up on the others… thought about one of those fancy dusters.
I ran out of furniture polish and light blubs too! LOL
I also forgot to buy those kiddie protector plugs, so I still need to get those.
I don’t know about you, but I am ready to get back to “normal” life!
Same, not dame… I wasn’t cussing!!! LOL
I’m the same way Cheryl! In fact, I can’t even clean when I am pregnant. Hubby has to do the bathrooms, since the cleaners make me sick. 🙂 So, this spring I am not pregnant, and it really needed to be done.
Thank you Tasha! I will run into a problem since the blinds in many cases are longer than the tub… Plus I have never taken them down, but I think I will give it a try, at least with the smaller windows first.
Meg, you are hilarious. My house is still far from perfect, and getting dirty as a type! It doesn’t stay clean for long with all these little ones.
OH! I should probably add a few more kiddie protector plugs to my list too, now that Snuggles will be crawling soon. And YES, I am so ready to be back to “normal” life. And… I knew what you meant, lol!
You are my hero! What an awesome job. The pictures look so beautuful and tidy. I think you inspired me to tackle my spring cleaning. I hope to get started in the next few weeks. I am still drowning in my laundry!
now i feel really pathetic. i think i’ll go lay down to make myself feel better. sure hope i don’t trip over all the things on the floor.
You’ve gotten a lot done!
For cleaning blinds (well, for dusting at least) I have one of these:

Thanks Annette! I’m going to pick one of those up!!
Wow, even if you didn’t get all of your cleaning done you did a great job!!!
