I can’t believe that our little princess is turning FIVE years old today!
As I was making her Towering Sand Birthday Cake earlier tonight (or rather yesterday!), I kept finding myself reminiscing over the past years, and then found myself looking though our old photo albums. Anyhow, I thought I would take a minute and share a few pictures from her past four birthdays.
Here are a couple pictures from the day she was born. We were all SO excited to meet her. Our family was growing fast! Three babies in three years.
Here is our little girl on her first birthday. . . (along with my attempt at making a cake!)
For her 4th Birthday we had family in town, so we all went out to dinner at a favorite Japanese restaurant. Looks like I had started making a habit of just picking up Costco cakes! Oops! At least one had chocolate frosting and one had white!
She was soooo excited to receive a new doll on her 4th birthday.
(You see, we had recently had to throw out bury all her old baby dolls. During the prior winter, she was trying to keep them all warm and lined them up on the ledge of our woodstove. I wasn’t sure what I smelt burning, and when the fire alarm went off I ran into the living room to find a row of smoking dolls with melting heads. Not to mention my devastated daughter! My dear hubby put them outside (face down) to cool off, and later that afternoon we had a surprise visit from a couple Jehovah Witnesses. I couldn’t help but laugh at what they must have been thinking about the row of burnt dolls!)
Well, I better stop looking back and finish getting ready for tomorrow. Her cake is made and presents wrapped, but we have to leave bright and early for a baptism and it is getting late!
Happy Birthday to your daughter – she’s a beauty (she looks just like you!). The dolls story is hilarious.
Happy Birthday Twinkle Toes!! Your cake looks beautiful!!
(We did Sam’s Club cakes the first couple years, but yours are much cuter!!)
My “Mary’s” birthday is Tuesday! She will be 4…she’s been counting down for the last 14 days! She wants a kitty cat cake!
I love her! So So cute! I love seeing her on her first birthday–she looks exactly the same!
Incredible cake! 🙂
Happy birthday, twinkle toes!
Happy Birthday, Little Princess!

Our little Eva Gianna Maria gets to share the Blessed Mother’s birthday, and she’s SO excited to turn 3! (except that means using the potty ALL the time :)Help my patience, Blessed Mother!!
Your Saints days are great – what wonderful ideas and what fun for the kids to get to know more about their Heavenly Friends!

Happy Birthday to Twinkle Toes! What a beautiful little girl. Your pictures were really neat; it’s fun to see them change. My favorite picture is still the one of her veiled for mass; I think that’s what caught my attention and made me come back to your blog initially! Hope you’re having a great weekend! God bless!
Oh man, I can’t help but laugh over the dolls! Poor Twinkle Toes! I can only imagine how devestating that would be!
