…till daddy’s return.
My hubby was dispatched to a wildfire assignment earlier this afternoon, just as we were getting ready for a relaxing weekend!! He just arrived at the fire and it looks like they have him scheduled on the night shift for the next couple weeks. Any prayers you can spare for his safety (and my sanity!) would be very much appreciated.
Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

Oh, Jessica! I can’t bear it when my husband goes to a fire call, right here in town — I can only imagine what it must be like to have to experience that for “the next couple weeks!”

Thank you all for your prayers!!! They are very much appreciated. In fact, I think they have already helped! At least for now, my hubby has been assigned to a very safe position in communications. He is also only about 1 1/2 hours away from home, and we will probably be able to head up there and visit him often!! 🙂
