Be it ever so humble…

… there’s no place like home!

We arrived home last night!

Over the last three weeks, we have traveled through 11 different states and over 5,000 miles. We had a WONDERFUL time!!

It was definitely a trip to remember! It was such a blessing to be able to attend the Ordination and First Masses of my hubby’s youngest brother, visit lots of family and friends, and even meet some new friends as well!

We got to see so much of the country: Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California, and although I may be a bit bias, there really is no place like home! It is so beautiful here, and we really do have great weather! (Tornado warnings and watches scare me… As well as shingles flying off the roofs of hotels! And 116 degrees is really just too HOT! Eeek!) If only the Latin Mass was available here, it would be perfect!

Thank you all for your prayers for our health (We have all fully recovered from the flu, Deo Grátias!) and safe travels (I was very happy not to witness an actual tornado!). I also appreciate so many of you writing to let us know that we were missed! I missed you all too! I pre-scheduled a few posts before we left on May 24th, and then tried to get online the first week or so of our trip, but my internet access was very limited, and so I haven’t been back online for awhile. I have many emails to respond to, and will try to respond to any questions soon! Some of you have been very busy… I have 649 unread blog posts in my Google Reader — a clear indication that I am trying to read too many blogs! It may take me a little while to get to them all! 🙂

Today I will be busy unpacking, doing laundry, sorting mail, grocery shopping, and enjoying our beautiful weather! But, hopefully, I will be able to catch up with you all soon, and share a bit about our trip! Despite the flu, I still ended up taking over 1,000 pictures! Aye-yi-yi!! I promise I won’t post them all! 😉

OH! It’s so good to be home! See you all soon! God Bless!

Welcome back! Your presence was definitely missed!

And what a great driveway to your house — I’d love having a “little house in the big woods” to come home to, too! 🙂

Looking forward to seeing more of you around again!

You guys are all too sweet!!!!

Matilda and Michele, you can be sure that if I was ANYWHERE near your area, you would have heard from me! 🙂 In fact, you were in my thoughts as we crossed over the little corner of Texas that we were in on our way to Arizona!

Oh, and thanks for the tip Matilda! I was able to click the button on a few categories, but just couldn’t bring myself to do it on my “favorites” category! 🙂

Now, if I could just figure out where to start with sharing about our trip… 🙂

Prayer of Mothers

Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me

Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.
