I just listened to a wonderful (12 minute) sermon on “Carrying our cross daily” which was just given on Sunday, the Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross.
It was very inspiring, and something I very much needed to be reminded of this morning. If you’d like, you can listen to the whole sermon here.“There are things that God gives us to, in a way, bring more sanctification into our day to day life…
…Sometimes God wants to give us larger crosses…
…So these crosses, apart from our day to day crosses, God gives us extra large ones if he sees we are able to carry them…
…but He never gives us a cross that we are not able to carry. And so we know the way to holiness is by making sure we carry our crosses in the best way possible…”
That was lovely. I will try and listen to the rest today, thank you for passing it on.
I am back. I painted wee saints again last night and made it to Q. I took pictures this morning and uploaded them to flickr. Here is the link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/30530952@N05/sets/72157607325376910
They will be up on my blog when I finish. Again, thanks for the inspiration.

Jackie D ~ You are SO very blessed to be able to attend that parish. Your pastor is an amazingly holy and inspiring priest! I am very thankful that the sermons given in his parish are online! I look forward to them each week. Thank you for visiting, and leaving a comment.
I never did get a chance to listen to the whole sermon yesterday, I am hoping to today. But I wanted to tell you thank you for posting it. It was very timely for us yesterday and Hubby and I even talked about it last night.
