“Just look, till after Mass!”
Right before Mass Twinkle Toes leaned over and asked, “Momma, how can Baby Jesus be born again every Christmas?!” Too cute!
Chiquita loved her new handmade hat, and SO did Snuggles. He kept trying to take it from her!!
After brunch, it was time for presents!
Rascal was thrilled with his GI’s from Captain.
The boys were both excited to give daddy a game he received for Christmas as a child. They can’t wait to play!
Snuggles loved his new balls, but what he hasn’t put down is the little toy phone the boys picked out for him!
(Hum… starting to look like I should just let Captain do the shopping from now on!!)
Look at that smile!! He has been wanting this game since before his birthday!
The boys were thrilled with all their new Playmobil.
(Oh, and in the left photo, you can see the girls in their new dress up!)
Moving on to the girls, they really liked the new felt food that I made them: Chocolate Bars, Goldfish, Sugar Cookies, and Bow Tie Pasta with sauce. My favorite was the Bow Tie Pasta, but Twinkle Toes loved the heart shaped cookie!
Speaking of homemade, the girls were thrilled with their new wooden dollies. Twinkle Toes said, “oooohhhhh!! They are SO CUTE!!” And you should have heard their squeals when they opened their dollhouse!
Can you tell that the dollhouse/castle was my very most favorite gift this year ever? I had to run and grab a couple of our Wooden Saints to see how they liked it too!
They fit perfectly!!!!!!! I’ve already added the matching furniture to my Amazon wishlist… Humm… Chiquita’s birthday is coming up in April! OR!!!! Mine is in just two weeks!! 😉
So, what was your favorite gift this year?
I think I posted a message on yesterday’s entry just as you were adding this one…
Since Daddy is working 12 hour night shift tonight… I need to get my little batteries to bed, or I will be fighting some little critter well into the night. Otherwise, I would retype my post again…
Happy Evening and enjoy the very last day of 2008!!!!
🙂 Angel
Great pictures! Looks like so much fun.
We LOVE Settlers of Catan.
Did you make the castle? Its just beautiful… THank you for sharing your Christmas with us! Beautiful family.. God bless them all!
Oh NO! I most certainly did NOT make the castle!! How I wish I was that talented!
If you click the link it will take you to Amazon, where I purchased it. Before Christmas it was on sale for $54.99 and I had some Amazon gift dollars, so all in all I only had to pay 26.00 for it! =)
Love your pictures:) The castle is awesome and the dolls are terrific. I/we can’t get over the fact that you made your girls cloaks too!! My dd4 says your girls are the same colours, they are indeed similar. I’m going to post a tutorial on making them as they were so simple get impressive. I think they were among my dc’s favourite gifts.
Thanks for sharing these pictures. I love to see the joy in children’s faces when they are enjoying their Christmas gifts. Your family is so handsome all dressed up for mass! 🙂
Erin ~ I actually didn’t make the cloaks… I ordered them this past fall when Our Coat of Many Colors had a sale on their Saint Costumes. (I ordered St. Margaret and St. Elizabeth of Hungary.) I can’t wait to see your tutorial!!! I have not attempted anything since my first project — a little skirt this past summer. That IS too funny that both our girls recieved cloaks, and even in the same colors!! One more thing we have in common! 😉
I really like the castle too.
I’ll have to check out the Settlers of Catan and Battleground games – never heard of them. What happy memories you are recording!
Angel ~ Thanks for your comments, and for introducing yourself! I am always curious about who is out there reading along 🙂 May God bless you and your family this coming year!
Meme ~ We haven’t played the Battlegrounds game yet, but Settlers of Catan is SO MUCH FUN!!!
I just love St. Therese in the window. Glad you had a wonderful Christmas!
What a LOVELY Christmas Day!!! I am sure all of heaven was rejoicing with you!!!
Blessings~

Thanks for sharing your Christmas. It looks really beautiful. You did a great job. We gave my husband a game from his childhood earlier this year when I found it at a garage sale and that has been a lot a fun for us. On Christmas Day, we had 67 people for dinner and 82 people total for the day at our house. All ten of my husbands siblings and their families came for Christmas. Things went remarkably well. Some of the in-laws who come from far less than perfect families commented that it was the best Christmas they had even been a part of in their lives. It was worth it just for my MIL to not have to bear the burden for the first time in decades of her life.
What a wonderful Christmas!! You all look so beautiful! I love that dollhouse and the wooden dolls you made, they are just wonderful!
Love your Christmas photos and traditions. Everyone looks so glowing.
I think the felt food was an adorable idea too! You should post more pics about those another time.
Enjoy the 12 days of Christmas!
Ellen ~ I am so glad to hear that it went well!! How fun it must have been to be completley surrounded by ALL that extended family! What a blessing you were to all of them!! My parents are both from large families (9 and 13 children) and it is always so much fun to get together with everyone! Merry Christmas!
wow, you even got the expansion set, you are on top of it! the dolls look great!
