Prayer of Mothers
Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me
Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.

Looks beautiful Jessica! Happy Advent! Love, Lori 🙂
Simple and beautiful. I love it!
Love it! Especially with the lights behind it.

Beautiful! You're so inspiring! You may have already mentioned, but where did you get the lights?
God bless, Pauline
Thank you everyone!
Aren't the lights great! I just love that they are exactly the right length for our mantle and I always hate taking them down after the Christmas season… I usually put it off well into February! 😉 I've actually had them for a few years… I purchased them at a St. Vincent de Paul Auction, though I believe they were originally from Costco. Wish I could be more help than that…
I loved this idea! I was short on time so just cut out large cardboard letters and had the kids finger paint. They turned out beautifully! It is quite an Advent statement. I love your site and all the great ideas. It really helps me to do all the things I have always wanted to do, but didn't have the ideas. Thank you for all the work you put into sharing with us. I'll be praying for you and your baby. What a blessed time of year to have a little one! -Angie
Where did you find the wooden (?) letters that stand on their own? I am having the hardest time.
I purchased these wooden letters at Michaels. I hope you are able to find some!
I was inspired by the letters on your mantle and this Advent I want to spell Come Lord Jesus. At Christmas, I will add the letters 'Wel' to spell Welcome Lord Jesus. Thanks for the inspiration!
