Prayer of Mothers
Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me
Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.

Your cake looks YUMMY and the prayer is great! Bet Mother Mary thinks so too:)
Your children look like they had lots of fun! It doesn't look like it took long to blow the candles out. 🙂 We made a cake as well, but it took a couple of tries to get all 10 of the candles out!!
The cake WAS yummy!! It was also very easy to make… a necessity for me lately! =)
And yes, the candles were out almost instantly with all of them working together!
Dear Jessica,
That is a great cake! I love layer cakes, so do the children, it makes for more to eat ♥.
Have a lovely day.
God Bless

Hey! We just ate our cake too, lol… I guess great minds think alike! Ours was carrot cake in honor of C week as well. 🙂
Twinkle Toes is looking so grown up these days!
That cake looks yummy! I have that book on my Christmas list (make for St. Nicholas' feast?!). I made cupcakes last night…yellow cake, white frosting, and blue sprinkles…it was quick and yummy and well-received.
But, next year, when I'm not 7 months pregnant, I'm making that one…YUM-O!
Ah! I am so glad that I stumbled across your blog just before heading to bed! My husband and I have been reminding each other that the Nativity of Mary was coming up, but then both of us forgot today! I love that you celebrated it with your children. The cake looks wonderful.
Your family is beautiful and God has abundently blessed you. May God reward you for your faithfulness.
