I know, I know…

… I am seriously behind in responding to emails — not to mention the laundry! — but I’ve just been having too much fun painting!

Today the girls and I made a couple little girls to go with their princesses. We also found some nail art and decided to add it to their dresses.  I am hoping that the sealer will prevent it from peeling off.  I guess we will see!

Now, it is time for me to put away all the painting supplies, start the laundry, and get ready to go to the Cardinal’s “End of the Season” pizza party!

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Those are amazing. You are very talented. I'd love to make some Wee Saints, but honestly when it comes to painting I'm not really very talented; knitting yes, painting no. I'm sure your girls are just thrilled to have more dolls for their castle.

Rachel ~ I really didn't think I could paint either, until I gave it a shot. Once I was able to get over the fact that they would NOT be perfect no matter how patient (or frustrated)I was, I am really enjoying it! Plus, my children never even notice the little imperfections that I see. =)

    Jessica,
you're right! Until you try, you just don't know what you can do… paint, write, draw. etc. But really, I can only pick my few strengths, and accept that it's all I can do. (crafts aren't one of them).
that's what makes the internet so nice; I get my crafts "fix" following yours… 🙂

Absolutely darling! The best part is that the girls are joining in on the crafting fun.

    Have a JOYfilled weekend!

Prayer of Mothers

Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me

Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.
