Prayer of Mothers
Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me
Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.

I love seeing all the saint costumes! It makes me hope to be a part of a homeschooling group that will do an All Saints party one day. Where did you get the little cassock for St. John Bosco? That is too cute!!
LOL! How great! Loved the pictures. 🙂
Great job on the costumes! They are all precious. Seems like we had an abundance of St. Elizabeth's at our different Saint parties (2 different cities even). St. Margaret was also popular. All the saints in Heaven – pray for us!
What perfect little saints! Great costumes! Our homeschool group cancelled our All Saints Day party due to flu in a number of families already and being cautious over that. We hope to still do it later in the year. The kids look forward to dressing up, no matter what day it is!
How cute!! Great Pictures!!

Fantastic job on the costumes!! So precious! Hope your week goes well and that you get moments of rest.
Thanks for sharing.
God bless!
They look great, Jessica! I hope you all had a wonderful All-Saints celebration. My little cast of saints is pictured on my blog, if you want to take a look … Boy, is it hard to get 5 kids to look at the camera at the same time! LOL
Happy Monday!
A prayer from a bulletin yesterday: "Dear Lord open our eyes to the heros in our midst, the great and small voices, the SAINTS of the world and the SANITS OF OUR HOUSEHOLDS. Open our hearts to their example in this world, that we might be like them. AMEN"
They all look sooo cute!!!! Great job on the costumes.
Hi,
I am glad to see you celebrate all saints day. I love the costumes. When our 'twinkle toes' gets bigger we will plan on all saints day party too.
Julie
The costumes came out so cute! Did you make all of them? I just love the Holy Ghost cookies!!!!
Thank you everyone!!
This year I had it fairly easy when it came to costumes! 🙂 Rascal used the same cassock he used last year for St. John Bosco – It came from Our Coat of Many Colors and is just WONDERFUL!!
The girls robes and cloaks also came from Our Coat of Many Colors. I purchased them last year when they were on sale, and they received them as Christmas gifts last year! How is that for planning ahead 😉 lol!! I made their crowns in about 15 minutes from some yellow craft foam I had and St. Elizabeth's basket and rolls were from the dollar store and we added some of the roses we used last year for St. Therese. Captains costume was pretty much the only one I had to make this year, and I already posted about that.
Sarah ~ We had to do the same thing, cancel our party. Instead we got together with 3 other families, brought some of the games and pretty much did a slightly smaller version of what we normally do. It was really nice! It was also nice not to have to worry about getting sick. SO MANY of our friends are trying to get over H1N1 right now, and I would LOVE to go this year without catching the flu, even if it means cutting back on our normal activities.
My girls were also St. Elizabeth of Hungary and St. Margaret of Scotland this year! Great costumes.
You are SUCH an inspiration to us homeschooling moms here in upstate SC! Thank you for taking the time to post all of these pictures!!!
I lovely your blog and your family.
