A Sneak Peek

by | Dec 18, 2009 | Baby "Rose" | 10 comments

Due to extra restrictions during this years flu season, the hospital has limited visitors to only 2 adults at any given time, and no children are allowed into the hospital unless they are patients. Nevertheless, our kiddos got a sneak peek at their new little sister through the window on Wednesday!

I can hardly wait to take her home and officially introduce her to them later today!

Bless their hearts. I can't decide if that's cute of them looking at their new sister from the window or sad that they couldn't come inside to see her.
I mean, I understand the restrictions, but those darling little faces stuck outside…

That reminds me of that sweet scene in Yours, Mine and Ours with Henry Fonda and Lucille Ball. I know it's a bittersweet moment but Oh! the joy everyone will feel when they finally get to meet her! Congratulations! I discovered your blog a few weeks ago and love it for all of it's wonderful ideas and resources.

Oh, how hard it must be for them to have to wait.

    What a cute scene though!

Oh, they have the same rules here in MN…that must be so hard for both them and you!!!

I can feel their excitement building up for today when she will finally be home, and mama too!

Poor little dears… That is part of why I have my babies at home. I love that first meeting.

Our children will go through the same wait; the hospital is currently allowing siblings one short visit but that may change in the next two months to no child visitors. I sure hope that they are able to visit once–my hospital stay is long. Glad to know that a family made it through the wait okay. This is encouraging for me, as the restrictions really put a damper on these last few weeks since I've known. 🙂 Thank you!

Prayer of Mothers

Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me

Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.
