Prayer of Mothers
Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me
Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.

They are so cute, Jessica! Their costumes are great!
I had a hard time capturing mine all in one shot, but I managed some individual photos, which are on my blog. (The twins were a puppy and ladybug ~ LOL! I can't wait for them to be a bit older and portray Saints Benedict and Scholastica, the holy twins! =)
Happy All Saints Day! May all of our costumed saints bring glory to God!
Cute photo of all, especially little St. Pius…sleepy eyes…or camera shy?
Thank you!
Snuggles was definitely camera shy in the costume.. He loved it, even though I had a hard time capturing that love on camera. Maybe next year!
absolutely PRICELESS …….
OK, I thought I would love Our Lady of Guadalupe the best, but Pope Pius X has just captured my heart! What a sweetie!
awe!!!!!!!!
Absolutely amazing costumes. And the little ones are adorable.
Love all the costumes!
The costumes came out great!!! They're all so cute!
Oh my goodness, St. Pius X is sooo precious! I'm a bit biased since he was the patron saint of my Catholic high school. Where did you get the costume, or did you make it?
I am going to have to start my own All Saints party around here so we have a reason to dress as saints each year! Do your kids use these as Halloween costumes as well? I know of a few families whose kids dress up in Halloween costumes on the 31st and then as saints the next day… that could get to be a lot of costumes! But so much fun!!
Wow, how cute is that!? Nice job on the Bl. Theresa costume!
I smiled as I went through your little saints; there are parishes here for almost all of them! St. John, North American Martyrs (St. Isaac), St. Teresa of Lisieux, a high school for Pius X, and a seminary for Guadalupe!
Little Rose is absolutely ADORABLE in her Guadalupe costume! I can't believe she's so big already!
You did an amazing job! I did not know I could love people I have never even met with so much enthusiasm. Every time I visit this sight, there is a picture that is so beautiful that it makes me praise God.
They look great. You have a new follower:)
the best costumes I've ever seen. and the holiest little saints in those costumes!! way to go, momma!
How beautiful! I LOVE it!
Thank you everyone!!
Erin ~ We have our All Saints Party on All Hallows' Eve, so the saint costumes are the only ones my children had this year. The St. Pius X and Our Lady of Guadalupe costumes were made by my mother-in-law for (Captain) and (Chiquita) back in 2006, but the rest of them are from our growing collection of costumes from Our Coats of Many Colors! My children love to dress up as saints year round and these costumes are well made, so I don't mind spending the money on them. 🙂 All I had to do this year was a bit of ironing and help my children find some "props" to go along with their costumes!
Sooo cute! Kudos to the costume + the props!
! Beautiful! 😀
Dear Jessica –
Hello Jessica, my name is Peter Markavage and I am writing to you from the Marians of the Immaculate Conception in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.
I was wondering if you might possibly be able to help me. I have a contact of a mom who is helping her son dress up as St. Stanislaus Papczynski, the founder of our order for Nov 1. He is in 2nd grade now. Here is the image of our founder: https://onepeterfive.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/Stanislaus.jpg
I saw that you have a picture and maybe experience above with costumes for a Pope with the white habit. This mother is not able to sew, so she is not completely sure how to proceed. Might you help us with any suggestions you might have? We know that a Dracula cape would probably have the collar we need, but it would need to be white.
I understand it doesn't have to be perfect and I'm sure we could modify the cape based on other pictures of St. Stan. Just trying to get as close as we can and any suggestions would be very appreciative. You can contact me at [email protected] or you can call me at 413-298-1303. Thank you for your prayerful consideration.
