Yesterday afternoon I made the long trip to Home Depot, and picked up some closet organizers for our nursery! Like the older girls’ bedroom, which was also built with the intention to add a closet “someday,” I decided not to wait any longer and just create a “closet” along one wall. The toy box will have to go and the rest of the furniture needed to be rearranged (I’m still trying to decide how it will look the best), but I think it will be so helpful to have somewhere (other than just the changing table) to put both Rose’s and the new baby’s clothing.
Not only did I use a screw driver, hammer and drill to assemble the closet organizers last night and today to assemble the closet organizers, I also figured out how to use a Circular Saw (to cut the shelves) and a Hack Saw (to cut the metal rods which were too long – finished one, and have three left to go)! My husband is going to come home and wonder who I am and what I did with his wife! 😉
I plan to eventually purchase some Fabric Drawers for the cubbies/shelves (maybe in sage green?) and someday I would also like to get the doors and drawers (like the girls have) to complete the “closet.” But I am really happy with how it is coming together!
While I was working in the nursery, I also pulled out the jar of touch up paint (it’s sitting on the bookshelf in the picture below) and covered all the scrapes, scratches and marks all around the room. It is starting to look so much more ready for another baby!
From the looks of it, you nest an awful lot like I do. Yesterday, I took down the walls to the shower that we're replacing. My husband has learned to just go with it and not try to stop me.
wowsers. you're a little Bobette Vila. good work.
Awesome! That was fast too!
Good for you! Sometimes I wonder where you get your energy.
YAY for you!!!!
