Catholic New Media Awards

I just recieved an email from a friend letting me know that Catholic Cuisine and Shower of Roses are both on the ballots for the Catholic New Media Awards.  I had no idea!

Thank you to those of you that submitted nominations!

Voting began on Wednesday, August 3 and ends this coming Friday, August 26 with winners to be announced at CatholicCon on August 28.

Catholic Cuisine is listed in this category:

  • Best Group Blog

Shower of Roses is listed in these categories:

  • Best Blog by a Woman
  • Best Written Blog
  • Most Informative Blog
  • People’s Choice Blog

I was disappointed to see that most of my own favorites are missing…   However, there are lots of other interesting categories, including some new ones this year, and many great Catholic bloggers and websites listed.

    Congratulations for the Nominations! Of course I voted for you – even though someone shoulf have warned me how complicated the voting process was, lol. And now I wonder: what did I read online before I found your blog? Which changed my life btw…!

Prayer of Mothers

Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me

Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings.
