A “Surprise” Birthday Party for Marc
Hubby and I had the pleasure of hosting a birthday party for our friend Marc on Tuesday night! He was expecting the small group of us that usually celebrate his birthday each year, but we surprised him by inviting quite a few others to join the fun.
I think he was surprised. 🙂
It was such a great group (between 30-40) of people, from a number of different Catholic parishes in our area.
Everyone brought a “hearty appetizer or salad” to share and the food was delicious!
Two of our priests sang a song from their seminarian days, at the North American College in Rome. Marc recorded it and I am hoping he will give me a copy! 🙂 It was so great to hear it again, since Father C. (pictured on the right) sang it for Hubby & I at our wedding rehearsal dinner many years ago.
Apparently “40 candles is just wrong. . .” Sorry, Marc, you just have to have the correct number of candles, at least in my opinion…
And Myrna even brought her “traditional” musical Happy Birthday candle holder!
Our children fought sleep for as long as they possibly could, due to all the fun and excitement.
Now you know why I haven’t spent much any time blogging this week! 😉
Happy Birthday, Marc!

Prayer of Mothers
Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.
What a good friend you are!
Please tell Amy Caroline, I can't click into her blog anymore! I always loved to see what she was up to and take a gander at her knitting projects.
Thank you, Josette! We have been so blessed with many wonderful friends!
Yes, Amy recently made her personal blog private, but you can still find her at Knit Together Designs.
Sorry to be such a pain!
It was a lovely evening for an incredible and talented person!
That looks like Fr. Liam! I have good memories of Paris, WYD with him, and traveling to the top of the Eiffel Tower together. =)
Your surprise looks like it was a wonderful time!
How fun to attend WYD in Paris! And, yes, that is indeed Father Liam C. 🙂 It was so fun visiting with him and showing him the pictures from our wedding (11 years ago), since he was the one that married Hubby & I, umm, twice! lol!
Oh too fun!!!
