Prayer of Mothers
Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

I wanted to share a recent story of St. Therese with you. A close friend of mine has a lovely devotion to the little flower and named her first daughter, now in her 20s, after her. She too has a deep devotion to St. Therese.
This yound lady has recently become engaged, very exciting news for the family. Suddenly, and tragically, her fiance became critically ill last week. As a child he battled cancer and there was a strong indication that the cancer was back. He was loosing large amounts of blood, having complications, and the prognosis was looking very dim.
My friend and her daughter began to ask for St. Therese's intercessions. All this began right around the beginning of the novena for St. Therese. We all joined her in prayer. Over the weekend there was a dramatic drop in his blood pressure and blood count. Then Sunday morning, as my friend stepped out of her home; she saw a single red rose blooming. This rose bush has long stopped giving flowers; and with the heat we're having it's been suffering a bit.
But, there it was! One rose and with it, a sense that her future son-in-law was going to be okay. When they saw him at the hospital that same day, his counts were up and the doctors were saying there was no cancer. He is being released from the hospital today!!! Isnt' that awesome!
