Just wanted to let you know that we are okay and finally back to the 21st century. So many are still without power, heat, and water. We are blessed. I am living vicariously through your All Saints Day posts. All that I had planned, had to be cancelled–maybe next year! Take care, I have missed the blog so much!

This is lovely! And I really, really don't want to be unfair, but I have a favorite.
Yep! Little Rose took my heart for many reasons: at first sight she looks sooooo sweet, but also because I just can't look at her without remember myself.
I'm named after the Saint she represents (Teresa de Jesus) and for that reason when I was a kid I dressed like this during a few processions, good memories. This year I read a long and very complete biography of Saint Thérèse and I found it very inspiring, specially the last days/weeks of her life when she was ill and in lots of pain.
I also remember that when I was little my parents used to say that I had two godmothers: one on Earth (also Teresa) and one in Heaven. Which means that I share the same protector has your little Rose and so we are kind of family 🙂
This may sound a bit silly but when I was younger I had the feeling that all the girls with the same name, shared the same godmother in Heaven and were all some sort of cousins. Well, I know your daughter has a diferent name, but a few days ago I read the post where you explain how you named her, so I still count her as a cousin 😉

You did a great job with all the kids. God bless you all!

(sorry if I made some mistake or didn't make sense, but english is not my native language)

the Saints bingo game is great. I am using it for my first grade class tomorrow. I just wanted to let you know that there is a mistake on page 9. In the center, second down on I you have st. Gregory marked as Leo.

Prayer of Mothers

Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me

Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.
