Prayer of Mothers
Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me
Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.

This is SO exciting! Thanks to you and your husband I now have fabulous resources! I can't wait to look at all of the material and information! Much appreciated, I know it will be outstanding. – Genevieve
Thanks, Jessica. Our son just began serving about 3 weeks ago! What a blessing this will be to him.

Thought you might be interested in an OOP book I have, 'Hail! The Altar Boy – Rev David E Rosage', written for parents of altar servers, but I think the stories inspiring and simple enough for children to appreciate.
Thank you Erin! I will have to see if I can find a copy! It is written by the same author as one of the books our 11 year old received in his Easter Basket this year: Letters to an Altar Boy
What an excellent article by your husband! I wonder why people can't see that it doesn't make sense to have alter girls -(mini- priestesses) it takes away the boys' pride in doing this special job! I think many more boys would be alter boys if there weren't girls on the alter! I don't even like my boys seeing it when there are girls on the alter.
Jessica, I'm wondering if you have had any experience with the R.J. Toomey vs. the Abbey brand of surplices/cassocks regarding quality and design?
I would like to order some soon but have to order sight unseen as I live in Australia. Many thanks!
I think my husband prefers the R.J. Toomey (that is what he owns) but our boys have used the Abbey brand when serving, which is what the local historic Church owns. I think either brand would be great.
Thanks Jessica, much appreciated!
