I’m starting to think that maybe it wasn’t such a great idea to teach my children how to make Popsicle Stick Grenades yesterday… I tried, but I just couldn’t keep this idea to myself, after Beth shared a link to the instructions.
My boys have been having a little too much fun! Their latest creation is a “Popsicle Stick Bomb” – made by very carefully tying a whole bunch of “grenades” together with a shoelace and then swinging it towards mom the moving target. I think it is time to set some “Grenade Free Zones!” 🙂
Prayer of Mothers
Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.
Oh my goodness! We've got two different sized grenades being manufactured here! Tell your boys that reinforcements are coming from Texas!
FYI…the larger sized crafts sticks are a little easier for them to build with, so don't get any of those! 🙂
Oh, those are sooo cool, you will also have reinforcements from the midwest–Snowy MN!!
I think we need a "like" button for comments on blogs! 🙂 My children would absolutely LOVE having the "reinforcements" over to play!!
My kids have been known to cover the entire floor of the playroom with bombs! I don't know where they learned about them, but it makes that $5 I spent on 1000 craft sticks so many years ago all worth while.
Go to the Kinetic King's page on YouTube, and you'll find videos of huge (3000+) stick bombs…
That is really amazing! I had no idea. . . I will have to show the boys those videos!
I have a feeling I'll be looking this post up in a couple years. What great boy fun.
