Snuggles, at 17 months, finally decided he was ready to walk! Hubby had caught him trying to take a few steps here and there, but, until now, he had refused to even stand for me. Now he is walking all over the place.
Here are a couple short videos from last Saturday night:
Congrats!! I’m just glad I’m not the only one with late walkers!! let’s just say that 16.5 – 17.5 has been the norm for 3 of the last 4!! I love how people say, “well, why does he need to walk? Everyone wants to carry him!” But it does get to the point where you’re like, Okay – walk already! Enough with the dirty knees/pants!!! LOL
Oh, I KNOW!!! I thought he would NEVER walk! He also didn’t crawl till he was about a year, which I think had to do with how under weight he was for so long.
In a way, I was thankful that he DID get some crawling time in… (It is so helpful in developing the part of their brain used for Auditory Processing) However, he is by FAR our latest walker.. The rest all walked by a year, with our oldest walking at 9 months!
Now, if I could just get him to let me put SHOES on him! 🙂
What a cutie! It’s so fun to reach this milestone. I had a later one at 14 months and a real early one at 8 1/2 months! I don’t remember when my oldest daughter walked; probably earlier for her! Have fun!
That is so cute! I’m glad you posted it. I love the way that new walkers fall into the arms of their destination person (mom or dad) when they arrive. It’s so trusting and is also funny. Now he’ll REALLY be into mischief!
Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.
Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.
Congrats!!
