The Most Holy Name of Mary

Some days I have great plans, but something comes up to prevent me from achieving them… Today was one of those days. I had hoped to attend Mass with my family and then bake a beautiful cake in honor of the feast of the Most Holy Name of Mary, but it just didn’t happen.

Instead, my hubby took our older boys to Mass and then out to breakfast, while I stayed home with the girls and my sick little baby, and quickly baked a box of “Twice the Blueberry” Muffins.


Thankfully my children had no idea I had hoped to bake a cake, and they were thrilled with the muffins, along with a wonderful new book from my mother-in-law, and a couple beautiful coloring pages.


It was the perfect opportunity to break out those new markers! I hope you all had a very special day as well!

Blessed be the name of Mary, Virgin and Mother!

    Sometimes you have to punt – your observnace of the feast still turned out great.

Prayer of Mothers

Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.
