Memory Lane Tag

by | Sep 4, 2008 | Just for Fun, Meme's | 11 comments

Memory Lane…the tag that gets everyone involved. This comes from my cousin Meg. Be a good sport and play along (and YES, that includes all you lurkers out there!). Here are the directions:

  1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn’t matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
  2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I’ll assume you’re playing the game and I’ll come to your blog and leave one about you. (If you don’t have a blog, or don’t want to post, please comment anyways!)

I’d have to say my favorite is actually talking to you on the phone!! You are just as sweet on the phone as online. It felt like you were just down the road. (I wish you were) It kind of made me sad though, because we probably will never meet in real life.

OK, I have another, every time I see anything “butterfly” I think of you. It was the first theme I read when I first found you! (the keychain helps too!:)

I’ll try to get around to posting these meme! But not tonight!!

The moment you and your family were driving away from A.Shannon’s to move to Oregon. I thought I would surely die that day!!! A.B.

This last year alone has been filled with lots of good memories and I am so glad you have become a dear friend, so it is hard to pick just one… so I had to pick the most oddball memory I can think of!

After you gave birth to our firstborn – Captain, the midwife placed him in your arms. I’ll never forget the look on your face of pure motherly love and your tears of joy.

Prayer of Mothers

Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me

Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.
