The library is open again…
(it had closed due to lack of funds)
Life is Good!

IN ADDITION, the wonderful people over at Hillside Education sent a free gift along with Christmas Mosaic! Wasn’t that sweet!?! It is actually one of the books used in the program: Night Tree by Eve Hunting, it looks great! The kids are going to LOVE IT! There is still time to order a copy of Christmas Mosaic, An Illustrated Book Study for Advent and Christmas in time for Advent, in case your wanting it for your own kids!

Oh! Here is what was inside my other packages, in case you are wondering:

The first contained St. Jerome and the Lion by Margaret Hodges. This book is out of print and so I have been looking for an inexpensive used copy, in good or better condition FOREVER! I was finally able to find one for less than $10! (It is usually listed around $30+) It’s in excellent condition too! Yea!

Then there was Through the Eyes of John which I also got at a steal of a deal (only $.36 after a $10 GC) 🙂 This is another book included on the Catholic Mosaic book list. Since it is about St. John, I think I will save it and give it to the kids on the feast of St. John, right after Christmas.

The last package had a Christmas gift in it… and so, to protect the surprise, it’s a secret!

I’m off to get a cup of coffee and peek through my new books! Have a great afternoon!

Prayer of Mothers

Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me

Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.
