The Jesus Tree ~ Week Four

by | Feb 20, 2008 | Crafts, Jesus Tree, Jesus Tree Ornaments, Lent, Liturgical Year | 2 comments

The kids are loving our Jesus Tree!

Today we read the story “Jesus Walks on the Water” from our New Catholic Picture Bible, then it was Chiquita’s turn to put the symbol on our “tree.”

The kids are also really enjoying the various coloring pages and activities that correspond to each story! There have been days that we have missed getting to all of it, so, this week, I made a folder for each of the kids containing all the pages we have studied so far. That way, when they want to color, they can pull out their folder and “catch up.”

I’m sorry it has taken me so long to post our readings etc for next week… It has been taking a bit longer than I thought it would to find the corresponding coloring pages and activities. It’s a good thing that I am able to do this late at night while I nurse my teething Snuggles 🙂 I’m just wondering when that first tooth is going to finally pop out!?

Anyhow, here they are, and here are the links to week one, two and three.

Prayer of Mothers

Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me

Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.
