Getting Ready to go Home!

by | Dec 19, 2009 | Baby "Rose" | 27 comments

She was watching me from her bassinet right next to my bed…

The little outfit she is wearing was a gift from Elizabeth.
I just love it, and it fit perfectly for coming home!
Isn’t she precious!?! I am so enjoying holding her!

Even though it has only been 2 1/2 years,
I always forget how tiny newborns are, even at 8 pounds!

All ready to go home!

Apparently she wasn’t as crazy about the pink and black car seat as I was…
She did eventually calm down though, and we finally made it home yesterday afternoon, December 18th…

Personally, I thought “bringing a baby HOME” made a great
addition to our O Antiphon plans for the day! 😉

Oh, Jess, she's scrumptious!!! I am so glad you are home with your family. We're praying that her tiny heart heals up in no time at all.

By the way, when I showed my children her picture, they ALL said, "Mom! She looks JUST like Annelise!" I guess to them, all newborns are created identical!

Jessica, you do liturgical celebrations so well!! Only you could have "timed" having a baby to fit in perfectly with the proper O Antiphon!!! lol!!!
God bless you all, especially little Rose's heart.

Prayer of Mothers

Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me

Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.
