I have ALL of my Little Flowers Wreath II Notebook Pages planned, printed, and READY TO GO for this year, which began with our first meeting earlier today! (The notebook pages are not part if the program, but the girls in my group really enjoyed making them this past year and they are creating such a nice keepsake.)
I also have the schedule finalized (including my little baby break scheduled in!), additional crafts purchased, the prize box stocked, Member’s Guides and Patches purchased (well in advance this year. lol!), snacks assigned for each meeting, and 3 new girls who joined our group! All I have left to do is finalize my lesson plans and look for a few more Saint Coloring Pages. (Has anyone seen a Blessed Margaret Pole, St. Angela Merici, St. Teresa Benedicta, Bl. Mary of the Incarnation, and St. Elizabeth Anne Seton.)
I am so excited that I won’t have that much more to do before each meeting, so as not to disrupt our school days!!!
Speaking of Little Flowers, our first meeting today went wonderfully and I am sure it is going to be another great year! I also realized that no matter how much I plan ahead (see #1), it is impossible to get it ALL done on time. 😉
Nevertheless, I was able to pull off the meeting/talk, 2 crafts, AND snacks (I assigned myself this month to get it over with!) even if I was still getting ready when the first girls arrived (30 minutes early!) and ended up needing to safety pin Chiquita’s last two petals from Wreath 1 to her sash since I ran out of time to sew them on… I did finish sewing the petals of Wreath 1 onto Twinkle Toes’ sash though!
(I have more girls than last year, and more stuff to get done during the meeting, so it was harder to take pictures this year (compared to last year), but I will try and post a few soon.)
I have been plugging away at the Alphabet Path and we will finish our FORTH WEEK of School tomorrow! The time is just FLYING!! The girls just LOVE the Alphabet Path and I am so grateful to Elizabeth for her generosity in sharing this program with us all! Here are some Highlights from our “A” Week, “B” Week, and “C” Week. The boys are also right on schedule with all of their activities, though I haven’t had much time to post what they’ve been up to… Hopefully I can post some pictures of their Pennsylvania Scrapbook Pages next.
A "lazy mom" tip that my mother used back when I was in Girl Scouts and she didn't have time to sew my badges onto my sash: glue gun. personally, I like them sewed – something more "homey" about it – but the glue gun held just fine! 😉
I'd love to find a Little Flowers group in another year or two… wish we lived near you!
Erin, that crossed my mind, but I do want to be able to transfer them to a larger sash when the girls get a little older and outgrow the small sash they are wearing… I wonder how the glue would peel off?
There is a paper doll of St. Elizabeth Anne Seton at this website. I hope this helps with your planning.

Beautiful
We have our first Little Flowers meeting on Monday. This will be our first year and my 5 year old is SOOOO excited. (I am a little excited too :)! )
Impressive! I've yet to plan out my whole Little Flowers year in advance. I think the best I can do is 2-3 months in advance.
I lead LF for 2 yrs for homeschool girls from ages 3-13. We divided the group up into sub groups. We met in a CCD room of the near by church. It worked well given it was only 5 min from my house at the time. However, we did not have a priest as an adviser.
This year I'm leading at my parish. We start with First Sat. Mass. Father L is our adviser. He visits us for a brief talk. I give thanks for our faithful and dedicated priests.
We had our first meeting of the year, last Sat. I posted more info on my blog and even started a private blog for the girls.
I will keep a look out for your requested coloring sheets and share what I find (if any).
God Bless & may you be given the graces to keep inspiring us!
Lena
It's great that you are all planned and ready to go with Little Flowers. I am leading/starting our group next month (thanks to watching you post about it last year and the great ideas you gave!!). I am also planning on the notebook/scrapbook pages for each of the girls and closely following your ideas (hope that's okay). The pages just seem like such a wonderful idea and as you say, a great keepsake too.
Thanks again for always posting the photos and ideas. It's helped me A TON!!
I want to lead a group next year maybe. I'll come knocking on your door then for guidance. Glad you and the girls are having fun.
Jessica,
We visited Emmitsburg, Md this spring to visit the shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. I purchased a coloring book. I have scanned a picture of her which you may find useful. We will email it to you. Hope it helps. God BLess. Thanks for all the great ideas.
Sincerely,
Maureen W.
Rock on, my friend! Those are big accomplishments!
Our first meeting is on the 20th. We can't wait! It's the only lesson I have to teach, so I'll be glad to get it done and just enjoy the rest of the year bringing crafts.
