As I mentioned earlier, yesterday we attended an All Saints Fair that was put on by our Homeschool Group. Each family was to set up a display on a Saint of their choice and we choose St. Joseph since I didn’t have any extra time to plan and prepare, and we already had a lap book full of information his feast day is also this week. 😉
Here are a few pictures of our little display:
We stood the
St. Joseph Lap Book in the center of the table. We then put together another
3-D Color & Cut St. Joseph Altar for display, and handed out supplies for each family to make their own at home. We also had a few of the
foods you might find on a
St. Joseph Altar: Breads, Cookies, Pastries, Cream Puffs, Fruit,
Sparkling Grape Juice Wine, Fruit, and
Gold Fish Fish.
Here is a close up of our 3-D altar for this year. Once again Rascal did all the coloring.
(FYI: Cereal, Cake Mix, and Jello-Pudding Boxes work great!)
I also had coloring pages for the children to color:

I hope you all have a very Blessed and Happy Feast of St. Joseph!
Prayer of Mothers
Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.
Wonderful! Our homeschool group started out doing this. We've taken a break from it, but I always enjoyed participating!

Happy Saint Joseph's Day!
I did not know that a solemnity is the highest ranking of any feasts in our Church Calender. That means by Can. 1251 Abstinence from meat, or from some other food as determined by the Episcopal Conference, is to be observed on all Fridays, unless a solemnity should fall on a Friday
I am always excited to learn the different teachings about our faith I didn't know. Thanks for posting about your "Saints Fair" and giving us ideas to celebrate St. Joseph!
What a wonderful idea! They all look great!
