Baby’s First Tooth

by | Aug 4, 2010 | Baby "Rose" | 12 comments

You may have to enlarge the picture to get a little glimpse of Rose’s first tooth, which just started cutting through last Thursday!

Don’t you just love that face? We don’t see it often, just when she is told “no” or isn’t getting her way… In this case she really wanted to chew on the lens cover to my camera. The cute little stinker!

You know, I actually thought about titling this post “My Feelings Exactly” since I am pretty sure I made that same face after finding out how much sinks and faucets actually cost and how little of an allowance we have from the plumber! 😉  Argh! Remodeling is SO overwhelming!!  Nevertheless everything is moving along quickly and it won’t be too much longer before we have our home (and then some!) back again. In the meantime I keep telling myself “It will all be worth it!” EVERY. SINGLE. DAY!

I hope you are all having a great summer!  I have really missed reading blogs and blogging and hope I’ll be able to start visiting more soon!

There is a light at the end of this tunnel and no, it's not a train! Keep chanting "fall baking, fall baking" and you will get through it all!

The last shot of Rose's face was a classic. I would be kissing those cheeks everyday! AWWWW my baby is now 3. Yikes that went fast.

The new home will be very well worth the time and patience it's taking you all.

    God bless!

Awwww…too cute. Congrats on the first tooth. Hopefully she'll limit her biting to things other than mom 🙂

Joseph has just got his first tooth too.

The shots of Rose are great. I haven't been able to get one that shows Joseph's tooth.

Beautiful kids! The little sad face is just precious. Isn't it funny how early they know that they're being reprimanded =)

Oh, there is indeed a tooth! Poor baby. Hope she cuts it (them) okay! I think that Maria is starting to teethe; she's chewing on everything, will grab my knuckles and push them into her mouth to gnaw on them and she's a little fussier than usual. Lots of spit up, too, although I think that's just because she's a greedy little nurser! 😉

Good luck with your remodeling! Can't wait to see the finale!

Thank you everyone for your sweet comments and encouragement!! I so appreciate it!

April ~ I have a Canon Rebel XTi and I LOVE it! It is actually my 3rd – My first wasn't digital, my 2nd was stolen on a trip, and I've had this one for a couple years. It is great. Someday I'd love to get the new T2i – but that will probably be years from now.

Anonymous ~ Thank you for the suggestion! I still need to choose bathroom fixtures, so I think I'll head over and see what they have.

Prayer of Mothers

Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me

Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.
