After arriving home from Easter Sunday Mass we continued our celebration at home:
Easter Lilies
My husband bought the most beautiful lilies and tulips this year! I’ve been enjoying them all week as they have continued to bloom.
Baby’s First Easter
Our Alleluia, Easter Books, Resurrection Set and Lamb Cake
Easter Baskets
(The Reluctant Saint is a WONDERFUL movie! I have been looking for a copy for years and was very excited when it was rereleased!)
Inside Rascals Basket: Army Men, Flashlight, Bubble Gum Tape, and
Man to Mangia.
Inside Rose’s Basket: A new
outfit for Spring with a matching hair bow and
A Tale for Easter. I also included a gift (the darling little St. Therese Doll and Rose fabric Shoes!) she had just recieved from a friend! Thank you
Kelly!!
All the children also received a Chocolate Cross, religious stickers and some Annie’s
Bunny Snacks.
Easter Candle and Jelly Beans
I was very thankful to Evann, at 11pm on Holy Saturday, for sharing the link to this printable candle wrap. I usually decorate our own, but this year I ran out of time.
Easter Brunch
Baked Blueberry & Pecan Crusted French Toast(I used this recipe with just a couple modifications. NOTE: DO NOT forget to grease your pan!) Served with Maple Syrup, Bacon, Fresh Fruit, and Orange Juice
Easter Dinner
Grilled Tri-Tip served with Pecan, Cranberry and Feta Salad, Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Asparagus, and Dinner Rolls with Lamb Shaped Butter
My brother Paul joined us for dinner.
Easter Desserts
A Lamb Shaped Pound Cake served with Fresh Strawberries, Whipped Cream and Vanilla Ice Cream
(I made the lamb cake on Holy Saturday using a boxed pound cake mix. I did grease and flour the pan really well, and thankfully had no complications removing the lamb from the pan.)
Easter Egg Hunt
We had a nice, though cold, morning, but then it started raining and SNOWING! Finally, around 6pm, it had cleared up enough for an outdoor Easter Egg Hunt!
Prayer of Mothers
Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.
I also used the wonderful Easter Candle printable after trying to find an "easy" Easter Candle idea. What could be easier than this!!! It is much more beautiful than I could have ever tried to make!
Hi! Where did you find the Resurrection set?
Thanks!
I purchased the Resurrection Set last year from Oriental Trading. You can find the link in this post.
The children look so precious in their Easter outfits!
And your Lamb mold cake turned out beautifully. I would like to buy one for next year. My amazon wish list keeps growing, lol!
I'm honored that you would include my gift in Rose's Easter basket. She's such a darling!
God bless and Happy Easter! 🙂
I love that your Chiquita has the same beautiful smile in every picture!
Such happy kids!!
So wonderful! Everyone looked so lovely!!
Thank you for sharing about "The Reluctant Saint." We just borrowed "The Little Friar Who Flew" by Tomie de Paola from the library and my children loved the story of Joseph. I checked and it is available on Netflix so I added it to our queue. We have gotten to see the best saint movies by way of our Netflix subscription. Thank you so much for mentioning it. 🙂
Hi Jessica
Gorgeous flowers and gorgeous family. God bless
