After arriving home from Easter Sunday Mass we continued our celebration at home:

Easter Lilies

My husband bought the most beautiful lilies and tulips this year!  I’ve been enjoying them all week as they have continued to bloom.

All the children also received a Chocolate Cross, religious stickers and some Annie’s Bunny Snacks.
Easter Candle and Jelly Beans

I was very thankful to Evann, at 11pm on Holy Saturday, for sharing the link to this printable candle wrap.  I usually decorate our own, but this year I ran out of time.
Easter Brunch

Baked Blueberry & Pecan Crusted French Toast
(I used this recipe with just a couple modifications.  NOTE: DO NOT forget to grease your pan!)
Served with Maple Syrup, Bacon, Fresh Fruit, and Orange Juice

Easter Dinner

Grilled Tri-Tip served with Pecan, Cranberry and Feta Salad, Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Asparagus, and Dinner Rolls with Lamb Shaped Butter

My brother Paul joined us for dinner.
Easter Desserts

A Lamb Shaped Pound Cake served with Fresh Strawberries, Whipped Cream and Vanilla Ice Cream
(I made the lamb cake on Holy Saturday using a boxed pound cake mix.  I did grease and flour the pan really well, and thankfully had no complications removing the lamb from the pan.)
Chocolate Nests made by the girls on Holy Saturday
Easter Egg Hunt

We had a nice, though cold, morning, but then it started raining and SNOWING!  Finally, around 6pm, it had cleared up enough for an outdoor Easter Egg Hunt!

I also used the wonderful Easter Candle printable after trying to find an "easy" Easter Candle idea. What could be easier than this!!! It is much more beautiful than I could have ever tried to make!

The children look so precious in their Easter outfits!

And your Lamb mold cake turned out beautifully. I would like to buy one for next year. My amazon wish list keeps growing, lol!

I'm honored that you would include my gift in Rose's Easter basket. She's such a darling!

God bless and Happy Easter! 🙂

Thank you for sharing about "The Reluctant Saint." We just borrowed "The Little Friar Who Flew" by Tomie de Paola from the library and my children loved the story of Joseph. I checked and it is available on Netflix so I added it to our queue. We have gotten to see the best saint movies by way of our Netflix subscription. Thank you so much for mentioning it. 🙂

Prayer of Mothers

Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me

Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.
