Prayer of Mothers
Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me
Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.

We are going to try and make it to our local pumpkin patch and corn maze this week…if the rain will ever stop. It's gotten so cold here too.

I've been reading your blog for a long time & am always encouraged by your posts! I do have a question today…
I recently read the book Dressing for Dignity and am looking for dresses/skirts for my 7yo daughter & myself. I don't know anyone else who dresses this way & am having a hard time finding cute & modest clothing (especially for women). Can you recommend any sources?

Colette ~ The girls are easy! (I love Gymboree, Lands End, LL Bean, Old Navy, etc… The long jean skirt my daughter is wearing was from Old Navy and the rest of the clothes was from Gymboree.)
As for myself, I've been having a really hard time finding skirts for myself lately. I recently found a cute grey bias cut skirt at JC Penny's that I love, and am thinking about getting these two skirts.
I would LOVE to find that "perfect" jean skirt – my favorites are all maternity – but haven't had any luck. The one I've been wearing (in the pics at the Pumpkin Patch) is a little shorter than I would prefer. If you find one you love, please let me know!!
Thank you! The skirts from JCP are very cute, & it is very helpful to see some examples…I've always been a jeans-and-flipflops gal & am finding it a bit challenging to learn how to choose better outfits. :0) I've not had any luck with jeanskirts, either – I've only found longer ones in thrift stores, lol!
