Any Guesses?

Lilypie Pregnancy tickers

December is just flying by, which means my due date is coming up soon!   I’ve been having a lot of contractions lately, and it seems like I fall asleep pretty much every time I sit or lay down “for just a second,” but that is pretty normal for me at this stage.   Between my last appointment and this week’s appointment, I progressed to 2cm and 50% effaced…  I was pretty excited about that, until I looked back at this post and noticed that I was at 3cm a whole week before Rose was born!

Nevertheless, after having a hard time making it through Mass this morning due to some more strong contractions (which died down after a couple hours), I came home determined to make the time to wash the baby blankets, baby clothes, and start packing my bag to take to the hospital…  Just as soon as I finish the other 10 loads that have piled up in the laundry room… and get ready for tomorrow’s Little Flowers Meeting… and… 😉

In the meantime, I thought it would be fun to host another Online Baby Pool, like we did for Rose.  To help you out, I’ve listed all of our other children’s birth statistics.

.: Past Statistics :.

Captain:  5 days early, 10:24 am, 7 pounds 2 ounces, 20 inches
Rascal:  7 days early, 11:19 am, 7 pounds 11 ounces, 19 inches
Twinkle Toes:  10 days early, 12:55 am, 7 pounds 4 ounces, 19 1/4 inches
Chiquita: 3 weeks early, 9:54 pm, 7 pounds 4 ounces, 18 1/2 inches
Snuggles:  3 days early, 10:37 pm, 8 pounds 5 ounces, 20 1/2 inches
Rose:  10 days early, 11:49 pm, 8 pounds 1 ounce, 19 inches

So, when do you think this little guy is going to arrive?

P.S. If you have any “nickname” suggestions for this blog, I’d love to hear them too! At this point I am thinking about using either “Bud” (since it sounds so perfect after Rose, and they were both due at Christmas-time), or “Little Man” which is the theme for a Baby Shower/Celebration that a sweet friend is planning for after his arrival. Any other ideas?  As for his real name… We still haven’t decided on that either!  🙂

Did you have to look up all those stats or do you have them memorized? I know all my kids' weights but not length or time of birth but I do know all their birth times rounded to the nearest half hour! Does that count?

Prayers for a safe and healthy delivery and a blessed advent no matter when delivery day comes.

I know all their weights, how early they each were, and pretty close to when they were born (late at night, or morning), but I did have to look up the exact times and lengths. 🙂

Thank you for the prayers! I really do appreciate them!!

    Praying for you Jessica!!

I was wondering if you have to name your baby (real name) to match the beginning of the last baby's name, like the others in 2 by 2 fashion?

I like Bud, it's pretty cute!!

    LOL
I made my guesses and then saw that Kelly and I are both thinking the same weight. Perhaps there is something to that;-).

Offered Mass for you on Sunday!

Can't wait to see the post on his arrival. Bud is a cute blog name…just because of Rose.

    God bless.

Yeah, I was bummed today when I found out I had no dilation/effacement whatsoever despite numerous periods of contractions. Oh well. Then again, I was almost 4 cm with my last for nearly 3 weeks. You never know!

And, I back Bud too for the blog. Good luck on a real name! We have a list packed because nothing sticks out – boy or girl.

    God bless!

Jamie Jo ~ Yes! We do have a pattern going (even though it was never intended) with these six, but since this he is number seven we can move onto a new letter and we keep saying "if we name him that, what would we name the next one?!" Maybe it is time to finally break the pattern! 🙂

Elizabeth ~ That is funny… But another 8 pound baby?!? :S Thank you for offering your Mass for me! I am still super nervous about delivering again!

Nicole ~ I am hoping that perhaps the feast on which he is born will help make the decision… Maybe that will be the case for you too! There are some wonderful feast days this month!

I stop over here often & so you (and your family) have been in our prayers! God bless you as you prepare to meet your new little one…what a wonderful gift to receive at Christmas-time 🙂

Love the nickname Bud! Very cute, esp. following after Rose! As for nickname suggestions…I've always thought Buckaroo would be a cute boy's nickname, too.

    Blessings,

I think Bud is cute. When expecting this last one, we were undecided for the longest time whether we wanted to find out the gender. So my girls decided to call the baby "Bun". It turned out to be a boy (we couldn't stand it and HAD to find out!)and to this day that is what we usually call him. We pray for you and baby and a very safe and blessed delivery. God Bless!!!

I think Bud is a great nickname. If not that, how about Noel?

Prayers for you and the little one, dear Jessica, whatever his name(s) may be! How about Buddy for a blog name? I always like to add an "e" sound after children's names!

Prayer of Mothers

Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.
