A Few Highlights from 2012…
A New Year’s Prayer
May God make your year a happy one!
Not by shielding you from all sorrows and pain,
But by strengthening you to bear it, as it comes;
Not by making your path easy,
But by making you sturdy to travel any path;
Not by taking hardships from you,
But by taking fear from your heart;
Not by granting you unbroken sunshine,
But by keeping your face bright, even in the shadows;
Not by making your life always pleasant,
But by showing you when people and their causes need you most,
and by making you anxious to be there to help.
God’s love, peace, hope and joy to you for the year ahead.

Prayer of Mothers
Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.
Wasn't it fun compiling these? I loved making mine.

Happy New Year! I've been reading your blog for a couple of years and recently found out that we are neighbors! I live in a nearby town! Blessings to your family in 2013!
Happy New Year Jessica to you and your family!! What a wonderful way to recap the year! What did you use to make the collages? They are beautiful. Also the picture of your family on Christmas morning is beautiful. You all look so happy!!
God's Blessings,
Kirsten
Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year, Jessica and fam! This is a beautiful photo review…It would make a gorgeous calendar:) I was also looking at your last post and reminding Hank to look for Mary at UD now that she's back from Rome. It seems that everybody knows everybody there, eventually! He loves, loves, loves, it there and heads to Rome next Fall. Love the small circle of life here in bloggy world as some of us cross paths in God's due time!
Small world! Now you have me curious! Don't be shy… Send me an email and introduce yourself! 🙂

That would be great! However, I do need to clarify… Since it is a little bit confusing. Mary IS my sister that is currently in Texas, but JoAnn is the twin that attended UD and went to Rome. Following her time in Rome she couldn't afford to go back to UD and took a semester off. This year JoAnn transferred to an in-State college. In the meantime Mary moved from Hawaii to Texas to live near JoAnn and establish residency in Texas and take classes at the community college. She (Mary) has just been working there, but knows many students from UD. It looks like she will be moving back in May. I wish they were both attending UD!!
Thank you! I used Picmonkey.com 🙂
Ok, gotcha! Thanks for the update:) What a blessing they have been able to travel around a bit. That Rome experience sounds like one that I'd like to stow away for;-) Maybe someday they'll have a "parent track:)" I am so thankful for Hank's scholarship and VA assistance. Don't know how he'd do it without it. Praying for God's providence for your sisters in this new year!
Dear Jessica, I am following your blog and I have to say: It is wonderful. I love all the activities that you make with your family with God in the center of your life.
I little question if you don't mind. How do you make the collage pictures in blogspot?
Thanks and blessings to your family in this 2013!!!!
