Last spring our pastor sent out a parish wide survey and feasibility study seeking out our thoughts and recommendations regarding the possibility of building a new church for our parish.
Construction has continued to take place ever since these pictures were taken last April (2015), using additional bricks purchased last summer and even more LEGO found in Ranger’s stocking on Christmas morning. However, just like our parish’s plans, this project is also way over budget and is on hold for now pending additional funds LEGO. 😉
Here are some of the LEGO sets used for this project so far:
The Battle of Helm’s Deep and Urak-hai Army
“Saint Statues” from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Game
Long White Candles – railing from Creator Lighthouse
Classic Style Limousine from the Palace Cinema and Camper Van
Demolition Service Truck (and porta potty for construction site)
That looks awesome! Great job, Ranger and Captain!

Your sons are very talented!

Amazing!
Ranger – This is absolutely brilliant!!!! Your building techniques and ideas are so creative! You have a keen eye for so much detail and in scale! LOVE the high altar and grade of the steps and my husband LOVES the choir loft and organ (he is our parish organist and has a degree in sacred music, btw)!!! The stained glass windows are wonderful! Are you going to have them along the side walls, too? This is brilliant gothic-style! You should submit this completed project (when you get it all done) to Lego Ideas (check out their website) and put it up for vote to try and get it as an official Lego Ideas set! WELL DONE!!! Can’t wait to see the finished project!!! 🙂 Thank you, Jessica, for this post!!!!! 😀

Haha! Our church is building a bigger church right next to the old one and that is what it looks like minus the camera crew. And the pizza is possible. 🙂

This is absolutely wonderful, thank you for sharing 🙂 Love all the details!

Porta potty’s and pizza 😉 The detail and thought of this design. The communion rail almost made me swoon. A future architect or engineer lives in your house. I would email father and the church committee this post for ideas. The “modern” built church’s that are built make me cry.

This is so great! All those details really show what you have taught them about churches and buildings whether by actual teaching, taking them to beautiful churches or the opportunity to read about such treasures. What a grace! You will treasure these things all your lives. This is a real inspiration. Thank you for sharing.

Wow! Those boys are so creative! And what a good sense of humor Captain has. I especially like the guy he picked for the news interviewer. LOL!
