Watching the Solar Eclipse
6:34 pm  (Wishing my camera would capture the full “Ring of Fire” and not just the bottom edge)
6:35 pm – Another attempt…
6:36 pm – Looks more like an eyeball, instead of an eclipse! 
7 shots taken locally by a friend –  This is what we saw through the special glasses.
Made me wish I had a better lens and filter for taking pictures of the sun! It was awesome!!

    Thanks for sharing these pictures. We missed it because we didn't have glasses. It certainly is beautiful!

    We almost missed it as well. Hubby had forgotten the glasses at work, and just as the eclipse was about to begin he went to pick them up! He arrived home just in time. 🙂

    I didn't hear anything about it here in Indiana. I wonder if we could see it here? HUM. The pictures are great though!

Prayer of Mothers

Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family.
