I had a basket full of dinosaur books from both the library and our own collection. Â However, I wasn’t the one to read them. The boys really enjoyed reading them to the girls this week, which was nice!

Twinkle Toes’ received The Flower Fairies Activity Book
~ D is for Decoupage ~
I was so excited when I found a packet of Cecily Barkers Fairies, to Decoupage, at Michaels. Â This was our first attempt and we had so much fun!
What fun!! Not to be picky, but it looks like Twinkle Toes is actually signing the letter F in that picture. F is thumb and index finger together, all others in the air. Where as D is index finger in the air with all others touching the thumb.
How fun! Lots of great ideas! I love the decoupage project (I'm going to go broke at Michael's this year, even with the coupons!), and the donuts look delish! Thanks for the handwriting site, that looks like a wonderful website! We're looking forward to D week next week đ
Katy ~ Thanks! I'll take the photo down so as not to embarrass her.. Rascal had mentioned that to me last week and I had totally forgotten when I was uploading the pictures. I should probably watch the videos with the children occasionally. =)

Did you ever get the CD from the Alphabet of Saints? Just curious…I was thinking about getting it and wanted your opinion.

This is great! We're also *trying* to stay along the alphabet path. We've done A-D and are on E now, although I've been stalling to see what you come up with! We also made the doughnuts for D week which we made for my daughter's 9th b-day breakfast đ I love how big your daughter's eyes are looking at the doughnuts! You are doing a fabulous job, Momma! Quick question—is your Museum ABC book kind of small?? Your picture that the girls look at of the art print seems so BIG! So, did you just enlarge and print at home somehow or do you buy the prints somewhere else. Inquiring minds want to know đ I'm actually doing the ABC path with my 12ds, 10ds, and 8dd. I change it up a bit, but we are all loving the time together. Your pics inspire and inspire!!! Thanks for all the time you put into your journal entries and pics.

Teresa ~ I have been printing the images, using Elizabeth's links (sometimes I have to search around a bit for the actual picture, since the web is constantly changing) and then I print them on 8×11 cardstock and choose "fit to page" in my printer options, enlarging the picture to the full size of the paper. This has been working out really well for us. Hope that helps!!
Thank you for documenting your weeks in such detail. I am a seasoned homeschooler (we're into the college years with some of our children), but I love to see what other moms are doing and am always open to new ideas. My 15-year-old daughter enjoys looking at the blogs with me as she works closely with her younger siblings and even my nephew, who we are homeschooling this year. Excellent blog… Also, thanks for sharing about your "bad" day. It helps other mothers to know that they are not alone in their day-to-day struggles… especially when we are all trying so hard to do everything well for our children. JMJ

Erin ~ Yes, I think the Alphabet Path has really affected my waistline too, although it's been a little hard to tell at the moment. đ
Just wondering where you get the prints for your picture study? I was just going to print any of them I could find, but it takes so ink and never looks as clear as ones that are purchased. Thanks for more inspiration with D week!
Angela ~ I actually haven't purchased any of them… I've just been printing them out using Elizabeth's links. I haven't had a problem yet with them not being clear enough, though I am sure I am using LOTS of ink! =)

We have just finished week A if you wnat to have a quick look. I really enjoyed it and so did the girls. However it has only taken us 3 weeks. Hopefully we will be able to do 1 letter each week from now on.
