I used a combination of this and this tutorial and they were quite easy to make. I especially liked using the wrapping paper on the Schultütes for the girls, they turned out so pretty!
We are now as ready as we are going to be (It just isn’t possible to be totally ready, is it?), for our first day of school tomorrow, and my children are finally excited! They have been begging all week to postpone school “just one more week.” Not any more! 😉
When do your children begin school for the year, and do you have any back to school traditions? I think this just might be the start of one in our home.
We start school today. My 12 yo "insists" she is not excited about it, yet 20 minutes before bed last night she comes to tell us goodnight because she's going to bed early. I asked if it was because she's ready for school. She cracked a smile and said no ma'am. Fibber. lol. No traditions yet, but should start some.
Hello dear Jessica, my children return to school in France the 3 of september. Then I go with my littlest child (your boy who's nine) to the ocean wiht his class for 10 days (we live in a small french town in the moutains). We are very happy to go. I hope god bless us with the 64 children!!!!
My daughter stay at home with is father and her grand parents.
Kisses from France. God bless you and your family
We sing the "school days" song that morning, but I may borrow your ideas, those look adorable and I can see that kids of all ages would be delighted to see that waiting for them the morning of the first day!
We start every year by reading the story of creation. It just seems fitting. I hope you have a happy and productive first week.
Yah…your blog didn't zoop out on me this time!!! Happy First day of School! Your school room is unreal!
We will start a bit late this year (September 8th). Our summer was less than relaxing so this momma NEEDS a couple of weeks to get ready for the school year.
But, our day will begin w/ attending Mass, a lovely breakfast with back-to-school schultutes waiting for them in the learning space and balloons hanging from the ceiling.
I don't know about everyone else but, I always wanted the first day for my kids to be a party. Hey let's start with a bang.
God bless
So, will we get to see pictures of what's inside? 🙂
Oh boy, I had to wonder what this was again, even when you posted a similiar writing last year…a "Schultutes" I thought?? LOL Okay, now I remember and how wonderful this all is for your children's first day of school. We begin much later than you do, usually the day after September 8th, Our Blessed Mother's birthday party fun. 🙂 God bless your new year! <3
I love your homeschooling posts. My daughter will be 2 in November and I have another one due then too. We are planning to homeschool and your enthusiasm and love of teaching your children really gets me excited to do the same for my children.
And I love the idea of a patron for your homeschool. I ran the idea by my husband last night and since we are naming our homeschool after our favorite place in Ireland, we thought St Patrick would be a perfect patron. Thanks for the great idea!
Ok, I gotta try this! Thanks Jessica!
