You can purchase this notebook for an academic year budget (September-August) or a calendar year budget (January-December).
As much as I love my computer programs and apps, I also
really love my printed calendars, planners, checklists, and notebooks! I have a few that I use on a daily basis for various purposes. I use my
Saints Calendar & 16-Month Planner (which is usually on my desk) for looking ahead to upcoming feast days and planning our celebrations, I use my
Half-Sized Catholic Daily Planner (which is usually tucked in my purse) to keep track of all scheduled appointments, and I use
Color-Coded Check Lists for our lesson plans and goals along with Weekly Check Lists for the children’s lesson plans.
This year, as
I mentioned last month,
I am enjoying my lovely review copy of The Mama’s Notebook! It is usually opened up on my kitchen counter or dining table and it has been the perfect place to jot down meal plans, the
books we’ve been reading aloud each week, some of which I plan to (eventually) transfer to the children’s checklists (we started our brand new copy of
The World’s Story this week!), along with any projects and other little things I need to remember to do each week. One of my favorite features is that it doesn’t include pre-printed dates and if I miss a week (which happens more frequently than I’d like to admit!) I can pick right up where I left off and not feel like I am wasting half of the book! 😉 I also love that there is plenty of room for writing down messages, notes, and listing goals, as well as many helpful planning sheets in the back.

Prayer of Mothers
Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.
These look great. I am in search of some new ways to organize my day. Thank you.

I would love for God to give me a reason to need the baby notebook, but since He hasn't yet, I will go for the budget 🙂
I like the budget one, but if I had to pick, I think I'd pick the weekly planner.
I like the daily planner. Thank you for the chance to have one!

I would like the weekly organizer.
These would be great! Thanks for the giveaway!
Thank you for the review and sponsoring the give-a-away! Everything in one place looks so handy.
I love that you shared this. I'm always hunting for the "right" way to organize school/home/meals and I find this kind of format doable. My only problem is the waste when I skip weeks which happens to much to me too!
I would love the Mama's Notebook, but the Budget Notebook is a very close second. Thank you again for a wonderful and useful giveaway.
I would like the weekly planner
Although I think I would get a lot of use out of the weekly planner (especially the meals), the baby planner is very tempting for our little one arriving this summer! Thanks for the giveaway opportunity.
I need this to help get me back on track! I love the idea that it folds open to lie flat, too.
These would be so helpful as a single-mom-to-many who works, goes to school, and homeschools 🙂
Oh, this would be so helpful! I would love the Mama Notebook organizer/planner. Thank you for hosting this giveaway!
Definitely the budget book. We just went to cash only and I know it would be easier it keep track with this!
These look awesome! I really need a good planner that I can use for meals and loosely planning homeschool activities.
I would purchase the weekly/organizer planner. Looks very helpful and I love all the room to write down notes for future use. Thanks, Michelle
Any of these would be so helpful… Thank you!
Oh, this would be so helpful! Thank you for the opportunity to win. 🙂
Don' t enter me into the give-a-way, but wanted to ask you about "The World's Story" book you've started using for History. I've been looking all around the internet the last few days for a good core text for history, but this one is only a secular book, is that right? What ages is it recommended for? There seems to be a gap in the market for a good Catholic based core textbook for the early elementary grades. The Founders of Freedom book will be republished in the Spring, I understand (although it was originally written for 4th grade). There are the newer books from The Catholic Textbook Project – I see you've used "From Sea to Shining Sea" by them in the past. How do you compare the old, re-published books vs. the newer series from a Catholic perspective AND for the younger kids???? Would love to know you're thoughts since you've used both and also use RC History! My daughter is in 2nd grade currently, so I'm still looking for something that is for the EARLY years as a core textbook alongside the living books selections.
Thanks in advance and God bless!
The World's Story – A Simple History for Boys and Girls was just republished by Hillside and is also being offered a Core Text to go along with RC History. From the description: This readable history for children is a reprint of text from 1907. Some of the images have been updated, and many new color pictures have been added to this beautiful full-color hardcover edition. It's intended for middle intermediate grades (5th-8th grade depending on your child's reading level). Click here to read a sample chapter (so you check out the reading level) and the table of contents. It provides a very balanced view of the Renaissance and Reformation and ends just before World War I. This makes an excellent substitute for the Old World and America, containing much more detailed information and a more interesting writing style which lends itself well to reading aloud.
My plan is to read this a-loud as a family as it coordinates with the time period we are studying (right now we are starting at the beginning and catching up for the first few units of Volume 1/Ancient History), and I am still assigning additional core reading to each child individually based on the RC History plans. You can actually read a sample chapter here. RC History does include The World's Story in the list of Core Text for "upper Grammar" students, and really all my children (grades 1-7) have enjoyed listening to the couple chapters we've read so far, but then they all love listening to read a-louds no matter what it is we are reading. 🙂 The older boys really enjoyed From Sea to Shining Sea, and we will continue using the other books from The Catholic Textbook Project as well in the future for independent reading. I know that RC History has been working on creating a Grammar Level Core Textbook, but I'm not sure when it will be published. Really, for my younger children, bible history – including incorporating the readings from the Jesse and Jesus Trees during Advent and Lent – has always been the biggest focus each year, and now that the older ones are working our way through Ancient History once again we are studying more from the time period (Egyptians, Greeks, etc, which we just touched on last time).
They all look great….too hard to choose!
I am interested in the budget notebook. It looks very useful. Thanks.
I love the Mama's notebook- it is perfect for me since we live on a teaching salary and I usually need a few days advance notice to soak beans or start dough…this way all of my cooking projects are right at the top of my to-do-list, and I can schedule our celebrations of feast days and regular meals around the other things going on during the week.

ALl of these look really helpful- I can only function when I write things down and check off! Thank you for the chance to win this giveaway. I am looking forward to bringing my three older daughters to a girl's retreat with one of your brother-in-laws and am really looking forward to it! We are blessed to attend a FSSP chapel daily. God bless you and your beautiful family. Dawn in NJ- [email protected]
I would use the Mama's notebook, and possibly the Homeschool notebook when it was available.
I'd love to try the Mama's notebook!
The Mama's notebook looks awesome!
I would use the Mama's notebook and possibly the homeschooling notebook when it was available.
These are great! I also am still a paper person.:)
They look really nice! I have several lists, etc. all over the place…..sounds great to have it all in "one spot." Thanks for the giveaway!
Wow- these all look so helpful! So many wonderful ones to choose from- I think i love the mamas notebook best!
love the weekly planner and look forward to the homeschool planner
These look awesome! I would love to win! 🙂 Thanks!
Thanks so much, Jessica, for your thoughts regarding the new textbook you're using this year! I did see it in my travels and had a look at it briefly. I like the fact that they've reprinted it without any "revisions" – I think that's important. Yes, I did the same thing last year with my then 1st grader for Ancient History – we focused on Bible history for the Church aspect of the program, but now that we're into Volume 2, the focus has moved beyond the New Testament and into the early Church. This is where a core CATHOLIC text would come in handy to just give the overall big picture to accompany the living books. I read on the Catholic Textbook Project's website that the volumes for grades 1-4 are in pre-production (not sure how up-to-date the site is), so it won't be out for a while most likely and the older, vintage reprints are largely for older elementary levels as well and generally more geared toward American History (starting in 3rd/4th grades). I'm almost tempted to get a couple of the upper level Catholic Textbook Project's books and use them for read-a-louds and change up the language when necessary to make it a little more "younger kid" friendly. At least that way I would have more background for my own teaching in the Church history area and could then make up some things for projects via RC History's curriculum. I'm glad that the boys liked "From Sea to Shining Sea"!
How do you find the "Time Travelers" lapbooks for Catholics??????? I am considering using them for American History since we'll be moving into that time soon! I assume since you've used them there is no anti-Catholic content in them (but no specific Catholic content, either). Have you supplemented Catholic content into them at all? I think I remember a posting somewhere about that once but can't remember exactly what it was for. I'll dig around some to see if I can find it again.
Thanks Jessica! God Bless!
The Mama's Notebook would serve my needs the best right now, but they all look fabulous!
I could really use the budgeting notebook.
I'm a paper person too! Would love to try these out!
I would love to give this a try!
Jessica, I also meant to ask regarding "The World's History" book – does it contain end of chapter questions, activities, quizzes, tests, etc? I'm just wondering if it has anything that goes further than the reading – like workbook type work.
Thanks!
The budget notebook would be just the thing I need to help get finances back on track (at least it would give me a fighting chance, and I'd have no excuse for not (other than plain old weakness/lack of discipline!)
Colby
I would love the Mama's Notebook…I have yet to find a planner for the new year, but love how this one is laid out. The fact that it is not dated is a huge plus to me. Thank you for sponsoring this giveaway!!
Oh, how I would love these!
I like the Weekly Planner.
No, it doesn't include any workbook type work… I wish you lived nearby and could come over and just look through our books to see which one would be the best fit for your daughter! Why do you have to live so far away?! Oh, and I'll pop on over to the other blog post you commented on and respond about the Time Travelers, etc. over there. 🙂
How fun! I'm hoping that our oldest four (or at least the boys) will be able to attend the camps that one of their uncles will be doing this summer. I would also sure love to visit one of their parishes. You are so blessed to have an FSSP chapel in your area. Please remember us in your prayers!
I'm most interested in the weekly planner.
It's a hard toss-up between the budget and the weekly planner.
These are great. WE just planted a Magnolia in the front yard but I have to wait till spring to enjoy the beautiful flowers but not so long to enjoy these wonderful books
I just want to thank you for the great work you are doing dear Jessica. I am very new to your blog. But ever since I got on your blog my life has changed. Thank you so much for the inspiration you show all the mothers around. A young mother like me needs a role model like you in my life. Thank you and the only thing I can do in return is pray for you and your family. I will always remember you in my prayers. Thanks again.. God bless
These planners look wonderful! And simple 🙂 My favorite is the weekly planner. Thank you for offering this giveaway!
