Our family is home again after 25 days on the road, traveling over 3,500 miles (Sean drove the RV and I drove the mini-van) through five states! We explored a couple National Parks, spent time with dear friends and extended family, made many new friends, attended Catholic summer camps (the four oldest), celebrated our oldest son’s 15th birthday, and ended our trip with a First Confession and First Holy Communion yesterday, followed by a Second Holy Communion at 6:30 Mass this morning before beginning the long drive home. I have so many pictures I’m hoping to share after we unpack and get some sleep… Happy feast of St. Christopher, patron of travelers!

Wow, what an amazing trip! Your oldest is 15….I have been reading here a long time!! lol. My oldest is leaving for college in three weeks. You will be there soon!

What catholic summer camps did your kids attend? I'm looking for reliable recommendations. 🙂 Your pictures are awesome abd you look amazing and beautiful. Do you feel better with the special diet? What book do you recommend for decreasing inflammation?

The kids attended a couple camps put on by my husband's brother. I'm hoping to share some pictures from the camps soon, but in the meantime you can see some pictures from last year's boys camp here.
Thank you for the compliments! Yes, I am feeling so much better compared to how I was feeling this past spring and I'm continuing to heal. It's been hard work but totally worth it. When I first started the diet I checked out this book from the library and it was very helpful. I'd love to purchase a copy to keep, but I haven't done so yet. I did purchase a copy of this cookbook which has also been great and helped get me started on the diet. Combined with the diet I have also had to make sleep a priority (which is one of the main reasons I blog less now! I have always done most of my blogging at night.) and try to reduce stress as much as possible. My weight continues to drop and my skin rash is almost gone – I had a few new flare ups while we were on our last road trip probably from lack of sleep. 🙂
