Feast Day Plans and Celebrations

*Or should I say, “Organizing my Archives, so that I can find certain posts a little bit easier for planning purposes!” (After 2+ years of blogging, and over 1000 posts, there is just too much to sift through!) I’ll be linking this post in the top navigation bar, under Feast Day Plans, and continue updating it as I time goes on… After looking through all these old posts, no wonder I am tired! 😉 It has been a busy couple of years!

This is fantastic! Thank you for organizing these for us (and, of course, yourself!)

I did notice that you had St. Anthony of Padua on July 13, and I am pretty sure he is celebrated on June 13. Also Our Lady of Mt. Carmel is July 16th not 14th. I am impressed that you only had 2 typos (that I caught, at least!) There is so much information here.

I love the celebrations and all the other ideas and plans you have. You are so creative. You have inspired me. Thank you for that.

    God bless.

lol! This post has been a work in progress for A LONG TIME!!! I started it mainly to keep track of posts for myself and decided to organize it a little better to share and just publish it already. =) I am glad that you find it helpful!

I am sure there are probably MANY typos!! Thanks for pointing them out!

This is really wonderful, Jessica — your ideas are awesome, and while I love picking through your archives just for fun, this organized approach will certainly be more immediately fruitful! 🙂

I laughed at your "no wonder I'm so tired" quote — I feel the same way when I look at my own archives, and I can't hold a (birthday!!) candle to yours! Especially now — I've been really dropping the blogging ball lately, and not for lack of material. I really don't know how you do it, but I'm awfully glad you do!

    Ever amazed with you,
    Eileen 🙂

Thank you everyone!! I was hesitant over posting such a super long post, but decided it might help some of you that search my archives just as much as it has been helping me from my drafts folder.

Paula ~ I really have been working on this a little bit at a time, for a very long time. As I looked up what we did for last year, I would save the links in the draft so I wouldn't have to look them up again. (Especially since I'd been trying to list the most relevant ones in the sidebar lately.) So I guess this post has been in my drafts since Lent?? Approximately. The most frustrating thing was the formating, which I did yesterday… Blogger can be a real stinker sometimes. =)

Jessica – Have you considered using your MAC skills and apps to set up your own blog?

I can't tell you how great it is to basically do ANYTHING you want in formatting, etc.

But it does take some time. . .

Hi, Jessica – I'm pretty new to blogging but I've been reading your blog for a few months now…I just want to say thank you for sharing the workings of your home and your family. You have been such an encouragement to me as a mom and a homeschooler! And especially for all of your work and examples with the liturgical celebrations – this is something I've wanted to do for my family for a long time, but it is all very new to me; your blog has been so helpful! You have really blessed me & my family – may God continue to bless you in all of your efforts!

P.S. one question – seriously! – how DO you manage to do all of this? I know how much time homeschooling alone takes! Are you still a Pampered Chef consultant? I'd be interested to read any tips you have on time management 🙂

Where is the "Jesse Tea" information? It looks like it got lost among the O Antiphons stuff, but I know I saw it a couple months ago and wanted to try the idea with my kids. Now I can't find it! Can you repost it?
    Thanks,
    Christine

Prayer of Mothers

Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege—to share in your creative miracle and bring new Saints to heaven. Make me a good mother to all my children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son. Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family. Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

A Little About Me

Hi! I'm Jessica, a Roman Catholic wife and home educating mother to our nine children. I was home educated myself, along with my eleven younger siblings. I have a special devotion to St. Therese, through whom I have been given much help and many blessings--the beautiful "Shower of Roses" that she has sent my way! Here I will record a few of the blessings I treasure. Please remember that what you see here is just a little glimpse at our lives, so please say a prayer for us, as we continue to strive for holiness.
